Dr. Fagan offers assessments for children as young as six years old and adults. Understanding if your child could benefit from a psychoeducational assessment is essential for their well-being. Here are some simple cues to help you decide:
Referrals from Professionals: If your pediatrician, physician, school, or other professionals express concern, it might be time for an assessment.
Notable Changes: Have you observed significant shifts in your child’s behavior, academics, or social interactions? An assessment can provide valuable insights.
If any of these sound familiar, Dr. Fagan is here to make the assessment process straightforward and supportive. Your child’s well-being is our top priority. Feel free to reach out with any questions or uncertainties—guidance is just a click away.

Psychoeducational Evaluations:
Welcome to the comprehensive Psychoeducational Evaluation process, designed to provide a thorough understanding of cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning for individuals or students. Here’s a detailed overview of the process:
Assessment Overview:
A Psychoeducational Evaluation typically spans 4-6 hours of in-person testing, which can be split between two days or completed in one day based on prior discussion and preferences. Once testing concludes, you’ll receive a comprehensive psychological evaluation and a detailed report. A 50-60 minute feedback session will be scheduled to provide insights and recommendations based on the report and evaluation.
Timeline and Fees:
Expect the full psychological report within 3-4 weeks after completing the in-person testing. The cost for a complete Psychoeducational Evaluation is $2500, with a $1250 deposit due at the first testing date. The remaining $1250 is payable at the feedback session.
Dr. Fagan operates as an out-of-network provider, and charges are billed directly. To facilitate the reimbursement process, Dr. Fagan provides superbills – detailed medical bills that you can submit to your insurance company. Reimbursement rates are contingent upon your specific health insurance provider and plan and should be verified by the client/ client guardian.
For added convenience, Dr. Fagan accepts payments through HSA (Health Savings Account) for both individual therapy and testing/assessment services. This approach is designed to offer flexibility and support in navigating the financial aspects of your mental healthcare journey.
